A skilfully woven Rubelli damask is combined with a new design created in the Armani style office. The botanic theme of this collection is used here to create a sophisticated pattern with a leaf motif. The interweaving technique enhances the sumptuousness of the silk and is evocative of the interplay between the light and the shadow, the patten and the background. The mercerised cotton gives the fabric the necessary strength to be used for upholstery.

This refined fabric presents a stylised motif which is reminiscent of a crocodile skin. Little relief “dots” underline the edges of the single “scales” creating a sort of embroidery. Ely is available in a wide tone-on- tone colour palette.

Espoo draws inspiration from an Art deco document preserved in the Rubelli Historical Archive which represents a stylised leaf. The double warp and weft insures a more durable quality and guarantees brilliant and solid colours. The fabric is shown in a palette of contrasted as well as tone on tone colours.

El Paso is woven with a retractable weft to create a three dimensional effect. The design is a flowing, wavy geometric pattern that together with the three dimensional effect is suggestive of sand dunes blown by the wind or waves landing on the shore. England presents the botanic theme of the collection as a micro design which vaguely resembles the cell structure of a leaf. The contrast in luminosity between the cotton and the polyester creates a spectacular three dimensional effect.
