Wool carries a natural and timeless beauty. Rubelli, with its long experience in the textile field, has created three fabrics – Sherlock, Barnaby, and Marple – each of which expertly balances refinement and comfort. Rich, soft, and comfortable, these wools are perfectly suited for residential environments. At the same time, thanks to their qualities of high solidity, resilience, breathability, and moisture absorption, they are also ideal for hospitality as well as for cruise ships. All three are certified flame retardant and IMO.

Sherlock, Barnaby, and Marple are the result of exploring the potential of the material. They are in fact made with a unique technique that highlights the versatility of wool in various design contexts. Sherlock features a discreet and refined weave that harmonises with the most heterogeneous furnishings. Its elegance resides in its simplicity. Barnaby uses texture as a characterising element that offers a rich tactile experience. Marple presents a subtly hinted decorative motif which reinterprets the classic chevron in a new way.
Made in Italy: A Legacy of Experience
Sherlock, Barnaby, and Marple are produced in the Rubelli’s historic weaving mill not far from Lake Como, in Italy. Every phase of the production process – starting from the selection of fine New Zealand wools – is characterized by attention to detail and a passionate pursuit of creating ever new “recipes.” The rich heritage of experience and knowledge is revealed in every fabric. The three new fabrics are reinterpretations of typical wool weaves expressed in a modern design and contemporary colours.
