Ravenna

Ravenna takes inspiration from the layers of mother of pearl inside shells. The typical design of this precious material is recreated through a jacquard technique using shiny yarns – silk, acetate, viscose – alternated to matt linen ones. The large wavy design adds movement to this fabric named after the Italian city of Ravenna, famous for the mosaics of the Byzantine period which often featured mother of pearl tiles.
