Queen

A light lampas - in relief, on a precious silk ground - that comes from the working of a fragment of damask. The source of inspiration, and also fascination, is once again fabric fragments stored in the historical archives. The surface recreates the effect of the cuoridoro or “golden leather”, those typically Venetian 'panels' of embossed and painted leather that were used as decorative coverings between the 15th and 17th centuries. In Queen there are three wefts: one traces the ground, one the shade and the third is the metall. The gold, the absolute key feature, takes on the reflections of the colour of each version, creating ever-new vibrant light effects. The relief effect that characterises this metallic texture accentuates its luxury. The use of a metallic yarn, which has always embellished and ennobled, lends an ever-modern touch of glamour, beyond fashions.
