    Egypt was called "Kemet" in the time of the Pharaohs: "kemet" means black, fertile land, and is contrasted with "deshret," meaning red land, desert. This fabric in cotton, linen, and wool has been given the same name due to its exceptional durability. Characterised by an irregular texture and uneven colour, Kemet is made with fancy yarns that create a multi-coloured slub effect. It is suitable for upholstery.
