Grimani

Lampas. The pattern of this lampas comes from a sixteenth-century pattern, from the Rubelli archives. It has a large repeat, made up of large frames of acanthus leaves and branches, which twisted into crowns, hold in the centre a sophisticated vase of flowers and pomegranates. A decoration which reproduces sixteenth-century models and is seemingly blown away by the years in the parts showing wear and gaps, skilfully created by different degrees of satin and a variety of weaves.
