Fortunato

Precious jacquard velvet. On a cotton ground, a dynamic composition of cut velvet trapezoids alternates with trapezoids of higher pile. The result is a shimmering and vibrant effect reminiscent of the works of the Futurist artist Fortunato Depero. The pile, of two different heights and made with two different types of viscose (one more opaque and one more shiny), creates a marked three-dimensionality that develops on three levels: the background, the cut pile, and the “eyelashes” of the high pile (in shiny viscose). Fortunato presents a marked dynamism also at the chromatic level. It is suitable for upholstery.
