Dark lady

A jacquard with a classic pattern but revisited in a contemporary key. The eighteenth-century floral design that inspired it has, in fact, been simplified, retaining sufficient elements of the original for renewed grace and beauty. Because of its floral motif, it has been given a female name according to Rubelli tradition. Intriguing and in its own way daring for that oversized flower, it seduces just like a dark lady. Precious because of its silk ground and mercerised cotton weft threads, it has the appearance of embroidery and presents a play of light and shadow that gives greater depth to the design. Its distinctive sheen is the natural sheen of silk. Suitable for decoration.
