Daedalus

Daedalus is a hemp fabric named after the famous character from Greek mythology, the creator of the Minotaur's labyrinth in Crete. The design features a jagged, serpentine motif from the eighteenth-century repertoire, reinterpreted and modernised. Daedalus is entirely handcrafted in Italy (the ground being woven in the Rubelli factory) using Italian raw materials. For the sinuous embroidery, a special cotton yarn was used: opaque, thick, and voluminous, yet soft, it evokes a "handmade" feel. The choice of hemp is part of a sustainable approach, as it is one of the vegetable fibres that requires less water for cultivation and, in addition to being biodegradable and recyclable, absorbs CO2 during growth. Daedalus is suitable for decoration.
