Plain moiré. A furnishing classic whose origins date back to the Renaissance, and which is a “long lasting” Rubelli item, each time presented with a renewed colour palette. Charles is the fourth "edition" of this particular cotton, linen, and viscose canvas. Moiré is an ancient, artisanal technique that creates a watermark effect through a natural sheen generated by a specific mechanical process involving pressure and temperature, without the use of chemical substances. The fascinating aspect of moiré is that it always produces different results, specifically contrasting effects of glossy and matte, and a design made of undulations and concentric patterns of varying degrees of visibility. In Charles, the pattern is medium-large and the hand is particularly soft. Suitable for upholstery and drapery.
