Rubelli was technical sponsor for the event "Homo Faber. Crafting a More Human Future" held at the Fondazione Cini on the island of San Giorgio in Venice, from 9 April to 1 May.
The event, the second of its kind, celebrated the excellence of high European and Japanese craftsmanship with 15 displays.
For the "Pattern of Crafts" project by German designer Sebastian Herkner, Rubelli developed and produced an ad hoc fabric, inspired by the geometric motif of the parvis of San Giorgio and used to cover the Barbantini room. On the walls a series of works created by master craftsmen from all over Europe who developed the same octagonal decoration of the fabric, each using a different material - marble, glass, mosaic, stucco – creating a unique graphic work that sees interaction between ancient techniques and design.
