It comes from the reproduction of a contemporary embroidery which, once produced by digital printing on a linen ground, becomes a sort of textile trompe l’oeil where 3D effect plays with geometry and with colour. Suitable for heavy use.
Martino Gamper was born in Merano, North Italy in 1971. After completing an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker, he went on to study at the Academy of Applied Arts & Fine Arts in Vienna and the Royal College of Art in London, graduating with a masters in 2000.
