The Mocenigo lampas features an unusual interpretation of a pattern belonging to the great tradition of furnishing textiles. Large groups of acanthus leaves are represented by particular effects of shading and chiaroscuro and are sided by antiqued effects of the ground, obtained through specially created textures. The colour and appearance of the threads – viscose and linen for the wefts weaving with the silk warp – were also chosen to contribute to the evocative final effect. Mocenigo is designed for use in refined settings where the fabric plays an important role in the decoration.
