Hand-made cut and uncut velvet, known in Venice as "Soprarizzo” Fabric with an elegant motif consisting of bouquets of flowers and berries, tied with ribbons and arranged in offset parallel lines. A rococo style velvet in which the details created with skilful cut and uncut pile effects dialogue with the light giving great tonal range to the motifs.
Martino Gamper was born in Merano, North Italy in 1971. After completing an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker, he went on to study at the Academy of Applied Arts & Fine Arts in Vienna and the Royal College of Art in London, graduating with a masters in 2000.
