Rubelli sponsor of Biennale Architettura di Venezia (German Pavilion)

Rubelli, the historic Venetian company specialized in high-end furnishing fabrics, has supplied via a professional partial sponsorship, most of the fabrics required for the special outfitting of the German Pavilion during the 12th International Architecture Exhibition 2010 in Venice.

The General Commissioners of the German Contribution Cordula Rau and Eberhard Tröger created, together with the Rubelli design team, two different fabrics, specially produced for the German performance: a solid red fabric for the wall covering of the main hall and for the upholstery of the armchairs by Walter Knoll and the curtain which marks the transition from the outside to the inside.
Both fabrics are obviously made with the strictly flame retardant Trevira CS yarn - compliant with the safety laws for the furnishing of public places - and produced in the company’s own factory in Como.

The opportunity of fitting out of the German Pavilion during the 12th International Architecture Exhibition 2010 in Venice is a great honor for Rubelli, an event of international scope which will attract visitors from every corner of the globe and one which is to add a further piece to the hundred-year tale of the Venetian company.
