Doge’s Apartments at the Palazzo Ducale

Rubelli, a Venetian company more than one hundred years old, has sought to give tangible meaning to its love for the city where it has operated since it was founded and where it intends to remain also in the future.
Already a feature, in some cases for many years, in numerous Venetian palazzos and in Palazzo Ducale itself, Rubelli is now returning to that which was the doges’ residence with the supply of precious fabrics (damask, lampas and brocade) as part of a refurbishment scheme for the piano nobile , in the Doge’s Apartment.
The Rubelli fabrics that can be admired in five of the doge’s rooms are:

  • San Marco damask, in pure silk, included in the Rubelli collection for over sixty years, in the Sala Grimani
  • Mocenigo silk lampas, whose pattern is part of the great tradition of furnishing fabrics, in the Sala Ritratti , Sala Corner and Sala Scarlatti
  • Borboni gold thread brocade in the Sala del Magistrato alle Leggi .
